Scholarship Opportunities

Junior Auxiliary of DeSoto County has established a local scholarship fund for candidates who are seeking a college degree that, upon completion, will involve working directly with children.  Specifically, one scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $1000.  The scholarship will be divided as follows, $500 for fall term 2009 and $500 for spring term 2010.

Recipients of the Stacy Browning Memorial Scholarship must meet the following qualifications:

1. Recipient must be a full-time or part-time female student at The University of Mississippi, DeSoto Center.

2. Recipient must be a current resident of DeSoto County, Mississippi.

3. Recipient must obtain a current minimum GPA of 3.0.

4. Recipient must be a Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student.

5. Recipient must currently be seeking a degree that, upon completion, will involve working directly with children.

6. Application must be received by March 31, 2009
